Just back from France where I found some lovely things which you will see if you are visiting Station Mill in Chipping Norton this month, or coming to the Vintage and Handmade Fair at Chipping Sodbury on Saturday May 26. Near our house in the Beaujolais, there are always some terrific brocantes to visit around Easter and it’s great to be able to head towards certain regular sellers who I know will have a good stash of things I want to buy. This year though a few of them were saying it’s getting harder to find things like pretty fabrics and old linens, but a few rummages did reveal some that weren’t too pricey! I also found some lovely bits of furniture and very beautiful paintings.  I’m also well stocked up with stone and cast iron urns of all shapes and sizes for the garden in the hope that we might be out there a lot in the coming months.  My only problem will be parting with them all.
